Washing cotton
Cotton garments are generally machine washable.
Sort your cotton items by color and use a regular wash cycle with cold water (30°C). Add a mild eco-friendly detergent suitable for delicate fabrics.
Turn the cotton garments inside out before washing to minimize friction and preserve color.
Drying Cotton
After washing, remove cotton garments from the machine promptly to minimize wrinkles. Shake them gently to remove any twists or tangles.
Cotton garments can be tumble-dried on a low heat setting if necessary. However, for optimal care, it's recommended to air dry them.
Hang them or lay them flat on a drying rack away from direct sunlight or heat sources. This method helps to preserve the cotton fabric's quality and reduces the risk of shrinkage.
Ironing Cotton
Cotton garments can generally withstand higher heat settings for ironing.
Set your iron to a medium heat setting.
Ensure the garment is slightly damp or use a spray bottle to lightly dampen it. Iron the cotton item on the appropriate setting, applying moderate pressure.
Start with the areas that require the lowest heat, such as collars and cuffs, and gradually move to the body of the garment.
Ironing inside out helps to prevent shine or damage to delicate embellishments.
Hang or fold the cotton garments promptly after ironing to avoid wrinkling.
