OEKO-TEX
OEKO-TEX® is an independent certification system that ensures textiles and textile-related products meet strict environmental and social criteria throughout the entire production process. It aims to provide consumers with confidence that the products they purchase are free from harmful substances and have been manufactured in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification is the most widely recognized and globally accepted certification within the OEKO-TEX® portfolio. It focuses on testing for harmful substances in textile products at all stages of production, including raw materials, intermediate products, and the final end product. The certification sets limits for various substances, such as heavy metals, formaldehyde, pesticides, and phthalates, among others.
To obtain the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, textile products undergo thorough testing conducted by independent laboratories. These tests evaluate the products' chemical composition and ensure they meet the stringent criteria set by OEKO-TEX®. The certification is valid for one year, and companies must reapply and undergo regular retesting to maintain their certified status.
By choosing products with the OEKO-TEX® certification, consumers can have confidence that the textiles they purchase have been tested for harmful substances and produced with a focus on sustainability and social responsibility.
